Great way to begin the New Year is to get back to work on my 9/11 novel about Catherine Scott, an Oregon teenager who was married to one of the September 11, 2001, hijackers. Based on a true story, my fictional version chronicles her life after running away from home and meeting an Arab who is studying English at a college in Portland. He was in the U.S. on a student visa - as were they all - and Catherine soon finds herself caught up in his efforts to form terrorist cells.
